Island Roots is Nanaimo’s Only Year-Round Farmers’ Market operating every Wednesday from 3:00pm-6:00pm in Beban Park. The 2023 Winter Market runs inside the Centennial Building from October 18th, 2023 until May 8th, 2024. The 2024 Summer Market will run from May 15th, 2024 until September 25th, 2024 in the field beside Frank Crane Arena.

Both the Summer and Winter markets operate within Beban Park beside Frank Crane Arena. Parking is available in front of the arena as well as around the Centennial Building. Bus routes #30, #40, #50, and #25 all have stops surrounding the park. Bicycles are welcomed and encouraged!
